Bartholomew’s Half-Inch Maps of Britain
A bound volume with 62 double page, linen-backed maps of Britain. Published by Bartholomew in the 1950’s. The full colour maps measure approx 85cm X 59cm. Attached are examples of the maps. The volume is ex libris (Sowerby Library) with several rubber stamps on the reverse side of the maps. The size of the volume when closed is approximately 49cm X 60cm. Maps are well used. Some edges a little ragged. Some minor water stains in some maps towards the end of the atlas. This volume is not for the collector who insists on pristine atlases. However, it will be a prized possession for the person who wants an incredibly detailed set of maps with every tiny town and back road shown.
Price . . . $300 (about $5 per map). Postage, if required, is $40 due to its size and weight.
