Photos of Melbourne by Charles Nettleton – 1880 and earlier

Albumen print photos on thin cards. The photos measure approximately 20cm X 13cm and are glued on thin cards that measure about 30cm X 24cm. The title of each photo appears below the photo, as does
“C. Nettleton, Photo”, “Copyright Registered” and “Melbourne”. The boards are foxed and edges are damaged. Photos are complete without damage but pale. Nevertheless, a rare group of early photos of Melbourne depicting prominent buildings, the Melbourne Observatory, Shipping and Churches.
